Hey! I'm Bassel! I like to say that I know a little bit about a lot of things. Besides writing, some of my interests include reading, podcasts, photography, health & fitness, politics, sports, shoes, and wool sweaters.
I am a first-generation Syrian-American, which is a massive part of who I am. As you can imagine, growing up in between two starkly different cultures has shaped me in unimaginable ways and exposed me to a huge variety of perspectives. I believe the foundation of how I think is my inquisitiveness; I ask a ton of questions, because I am genuinely curious. One of my favorite things to do is listen to others speak about things they are passionate about; it doesn't matter what the topic is. For me, there is little more enjoyable than experiencing emotion and passion.
